Children's Museum and Toy Gallery | Museums of Serbia

Children's Museum with Toy Gallery and interactive exhibits is located on the ground floor of the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade's Dorćol district.

Opened in 2012, this museum is a true oasis for children and a nostalgic journey for older citizens, parents, grandparents.

Divided into two sections, the Children's Museum features a representative Toy Gallery with a rich collection of over two hundred exhibits - toys from different periods, some of which are older than a century.

Among them are various rag and porcelain dolls, toy cars, wooden, tin, and plastic toys, music boxes, wind-up toys, board games, as well as legendary models of steam engines and train stations. The oldest toy in the museum is currently a wooden rocking horse from the 19th century.

The second section of the museum consists of an interactive part of the permanent exhibition called "Augmented Reality", where characters and information from the real world are combined with computer-generated images and projected onto a video screen. This way, children can momentarily come face to face with a dinosaur, a bear, or even a robot.

The Museum also includes a Science Center that organizes interesting workshops where children can participate in various experiments and develop an interest in science.

The working hours of the Children's Museum are every day except Monday, from 10 am to 8 pm. The price of a single ticket is 200 dinars, with the possibility of discounts for group and organized visits. Admission is free for children up to 7 years old.

The Children's Museum can be a great source of entertainment and inspiration for both children and parents, so we highly recommend visiting the museum with your little ones and spending quality time playing, learning, and reminiscing.
