Belgrade Beer Festival (Beerfest) | Tourist Calendar of Serbia

Belgrade Beer Festival, known as Beer Fest, is the most popular and largest event in Southeast Europe, which hosts an average of around half a million people every year during its five-day duration. The record-breaking year was 2010 when an incredible 900,000 visitors were recorded.

Originally launched in 2003 on the plateau of the Lower Town of the Kalemegdan Fortress, the festival became so popular in a few years that the "relocation" across the river to Ušće was inevitable.

Just three years after its establishment, the British Independent recognized the potential of this event and included Beer Fest in the Top 20 events on the planet for 2006.

The immense popularity of this beer festival is primarily due to the fact that it is free, as well as the wide selection of beers that could not be found anywhere else in the country at that time. When you add to that the attractive location, daily or all-night music program featuring the most popular regional bands and performers, it is clear that the festival's success was inevitable.

A great attraction for beer enthusiasts in recent years has also been the presence of a large number of stands by domestic craft breweries that have become a real trend worldwide, including Serbia, over the past decade.

Belgrade Beer Fest has grown over time to become one of the biggest brands in our capital and an event that promotes social responsibility in addition to a good time. Therefore, within the festival, multi-month campaigns with strong social messages have been organized in recent years.

Beer Fest is not just a festival for young people; people of all generations have a great time there. So, take a stroll to Ušće these days, feel the positive atmosphere, and be a part of the biggest festival in this part of Europe, even if only for a short while.
