Yandex Taxi has arrived in Serbia

Yandex Taxi, an online taxi ordering service through a free mobile application designed for Android and iOS devices, officially started operating in Belgrade. Yandex, the Russian IT giant, is the creator of this service, which aims to enhance the efficiency of taxi services in the city for the mutual satisfaction of both users and drivers.

Unlike similar applications such as Uber or Car:go, Yandex Taxi exclusively collaborates with authorized associations and registered taxi drivers.

Belgrade has joined the company of several hundred cities across Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia, and other CIS countries, becoming the first Central European city where this application has been launched.

To use the application, users need to register their phone number first.

When ordering a taxi, there is no need to provide the address as the GPS locator of your device does it for you. By confirming your location, a signal is sent to all taxi drivers within the Yandex Taxi network. The Yandex Taxi application algorithms take into account distance and traffic congestion to find the driver who can reach you the fastest.

In the distribution of rides, the application considers the driver's rating based on user ratings and ride statistics, among other factors. Drivers with high ratings have priority in receiving rides, while those with the lowest ratings are blocked. This system benefits drivers who provide the highest quality service. On the other hand, taxi service users experience shorter waiting times for vehicle arrival and save on calling taxi services.

If a passenger forgets belongings in the car or has any questions, they can use the in-app chat feature. The customer service team responds to user complaints and feedback and is available 24/7. By rating and commenting on drivers, users directly influence the quality and safety of the service.
