Multipraktika: Entrepreneurial offspring of Milica, Marija and another Milica

When, after just a few months of work, the world's most famous portal dedicated to alternative weddings publishes a story about the wedding organized by the girls from Multipraktika, then we have to talk about them. PlanPlus Magazine presents the fantastic trio - Milica, Marija, and Milica.

A few months ago, Milica, Marija, and Milica were thrilled when the world's most famous portal and magazine dedicated to alternative weddings, "Rocknroll Bride," published a story about the wedding organized and decorated by Multipraktika. For the first time, "Rocknroll Bride" writes about a wedding from this part of the world. Just take a look at their website, and you will see the company our girls are in - colorful traditional weddings from the most exotic parts of the world, weddings on mountain peaks, weddings on Caribbean beaches, circus weddings, weddings with film and pop culture themes. I think you already understand what I'm going to talk about with the girls...

Who is Multipraktika?

Multipraktika consists of three friends who have dozens of realized scenography and costume designs for theater performances, musicals, movies, music videos, commercials, as well as some interior design projects in the country and abroad. In addition to the aforementioned, they are successful in organizing and decorating weddings, corporate events, promotional events, storefronts, and booths.

Last year, Milica, Marija, and Milica founded Multipraktika. These days, they are getting ready to celebrate their first anniversary in a grand style. With the same enthusiasm as in the beginning, the girls tell PlanPlus Magazine: "At that moment, we were receiving advice from all sides on how important it is to hold onto a job, any job, to do something, to calm down, not to plan, to be content, and leave the "ripples" for a better time. However, the ideas that we wanted to realize at some point wouldn't leave us alone, and we decided, regardless of the circumstances, to venture into the uncertainty that entrepreneurship brings... And you ask us if the decision was good? The answer is yes! And that's how it all started."..

Establishing and running a successful business requires finding a balance between desires and possibilities. "It is also important to connect with other successful founders who have already gone through the whole experience, discussing the good and bad sides of the business. First, you "search," gather, think, and then you dive in! It is demanding and tiring, but we need to talk about it, set an example, and inspire new ideas," Marija says.

The world is going to be a better place

They wanted to create a brand in the prime of their life and creative energy that would bring about change through their creations. They invest their education, talents, and skills to make the world a more beautiful place, even though they know it's not an easy task in this time and place. However, they want to remind us that women are not accustomed to easy tasks.

"It is extremely important to remain true to yourself, your ideas, not deviate too much from your goal, but also find a "common language" with the other side. Trust is crucial in this business. Absolute trust. Because you won't enjoy your own wedding, celebration, exhibition, or any event if you have to control everything. In addition to trust, you must also have respect for your organizers and decorators. This is not a cutting and coloring game, and it's not a hobby. This is a serious business. The three of us have graduated from faculties of scenography and interior design. We have worked on dozens of major musicals and theater performances, well-known TV shows, films, studio photo shoots, large events, interior projects in the country and abroad... We know how to add that invisible spice to the ordinary eye that completely changes the impression. We know how to create the visual X factor. And we invest a lot of time and energy into every project we work on. Keep that in mind every time you think decorators have only five minutes of work," Milica, Marija, and Milica tell me.

For most decorators and event organizers, corporate parties are the biggest challenge due to the amount of work involved. They also know that they can be extremely limiting in terms of creativity because they usually have to follow rigid corporate rules.

"We ourselves used to belong to that majority of decorators, but everything changed when we became Multipraktika. Companies call us primarily because they recognize the creative spark we possess and when they want the event they organize to be something more than just a gathering," Marija smiles.

When asked if "commercial" scenography has led them away from art, Marija loudly answers - no!

Quality, quality, quality

Every business in today's world requires "smart" promotion. The girls from Multipraktika spend a lot of time in front of the camera, using photography as their business card. Their website is their portfolio, and a glance at their Instagram and Facebook page sparks the desire in you to start "your own business" immediately.

In addition to the "Rocknroll Bride" portal, local media have also covered their work. The girls tell me:

"The morning after the wedding we organized and decorated a few months ago for a famous actor, the newspapers brought sensational headlines. We designed and created all the decoration elements specifically for that wedding. We didn't recycle old ideas. The newlyweds, who know and respect our work, primarily from the world of theater scenography, gave us free rein to create, and the fact that they are involved in public work and had numerous celebrities among the guests brought Multipraktika five minutes of tabloid fame. After the attention that followed the announcement on global and local portals, Multipraktika decided to selflessly create "Guide to Alternative Weddings" and publish it on their website. We have gathered our rich experiences so far, and in this way, we want to point out to future newlyweds some potential pitfalls, issues, and unforeseen costs they may encounter if they opt for this approach to organizing and decorating."

Future plans...

Multipraktika is already engaged in around ten projects for the year 2020. They plan to add a new dimension - social responsibility - to their scenographic and decorating engagement. They will participate in workshops for young designers with whom they want to share their previous experiences and acquired knowledge, engage in actions supporting women entrepreneurship, and they would also like to be involved in organizing and decorating non-profit and humanitarian events.
