Moving and earning, or how to resettle smoothly

If you have ever studied or worked in another city or country, lived as a tenant, or for any other reason frequently changed residences, the process of moving is probably familiar to you. Transferring belongings to a new location, getting rid of old items, and buying new ones can be a headache just at the thought of moving, let alone when the whole procedure actually starts to unfold.

Moving = headache

Depending on the reasons for the relocation, moving usually involves mixed feelings. It can be nostalgia for the old neighborhood, apartment, or house where we grew up and have fond memories. It can also be excitement if we are moving to a bigger and nicer living space, but in some cases, it can be feelings of sadness, sorrow, and worry if the move is forced by life circumstances.

Headache from moving

In any case, what is an integral part of every move, regardless of its motives, is stress and nervousness. Believe it or not, in the psychological "hierarchy of stresses," moving ranks quite high because it usually entails significant changes in our life routines. When combined with the financial costs of moving, the headache reaches its peak.

However, the good news is that it doesn't have to be that way - the "cure" for this type of headache can be a Belgrade company that specializes in excellent moving services and also offers to buy all the items you no longer need, whether it's furniture, appliances, mobile phone buyback, used laptops, or antiques. And certainly, it's not the only one.

Don't throw things away, sell them!

It is often said - if we haven't used certain things in the house for more than a month, we don't need them. And this does make sense in many cases. However, it certainly doesn't mean that we should throw away everything we haven't touched in months. Many moving agencies offer to buy old and (to us) unnecessary items - from old bulky furniture, appliances, and white goods to electronics and old mobile phones that, true enough, many of us have in stock. By selling such items, we remove a significant burden from our shoulders, save time, reduce moving costs, and it's not unlikely that we can even make some money.

Counting money, earning from moving

Moving costs, of course, vary depending on the number of people involved in the move and the distance our belongings travel to their new home. If we research the market, compare buyback prices, and make a good calculation, there is no doubt that the whole process will go "more smoothly," if for nothing else, then for our wallets.

STOP! Don't sell everything

However, once we realize that we can make money by selling things that we would otherwise leave next to the dumpster, there is a chance that we become fond of this practice and start selling even those items that we may need shortly after the move. Therefore, it is important to plan the entire procedure rationally so that we don't find ourselves in a new stressful (and somewhat comical) situation - ending up in an empty apartment due to an excess of belongings before the move.
