River Tisa

In the gentle and mostly monotonous plain landscape of northern Vojvodina, the River Tisa represents the greatest natural value and a first-class tourist attraction of the municipality and settlement of Ada. This, otherwise the longest tributary of the Danube, is formed in the Ukrainian Carpathians by the merging of two mountain rivers, the White and Black Tisa. After 1194 kilometers of flow through four countries (Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary), it enters Serbia near the border village of Đala and flows meridionally towards the Danube, into which it flows near Slankamen, at the "tri-border" of Bačka, Banat, and Srem. At the 104th river kilometer (from the mouth into the Danube) or 60th kilometer from entering Serbia, the Tisa flows past Ada as one of the larger European rivers. One of the most beautiful river beaches in Serbia is located precisely in Ada, with a well-arranged bathing area and sandy sports fields. Along the embankment stretches a beautiful park with promenade, and if you visit Ada by water, there is also a well-equipped marina for mooring boats and smaller vessels, providing 24-hour boat storage throughout the year. The Tisa is a true attraction along its entire course, but perhaps the most beautiful part is in Ada. Numerous well-maintained typical weekend houses on both sides of the river testify to this, providing residents and tourists with an escape from the daily urban hustle and ensuring a high level of hedonism with the peace of a slow-flowing plain river, the rustle of ash trees, and fishing.

Sports and Recreation Center Adica

Established exactly 20 years ago, the Sports and Recreation Complex Adica is now one of the most beautiful and well-arranged recreational parks in the country. With three representative pools (Olympic, children's, and pool for retirees and non-swimmers) located in a willow tree forest, among beautiful lawns, flower gardens, and fountains overgrown with exotic plants, the opportunities for rest and relaxation on hot summer days are at the highest level. A well-maintained and clean park with a lovely promenade, wooden benches, tables, and numerous sports fields make this place ideal for nature outings, recreation, and athlete training. With a few catering facilities located within the complex, the SRC Adica is a true attraction that attracts visitors from all over Vojvodina and neighboring countries. For this reason, a modern accommodation facility has been built in the complex, making the tourist offer of this place complete and providing ideal conditions for weekend getaways.

Koš Salaš

Typical Vojvodina ethnic household and an ambient unit so characteristic of this part of Serbia. It is located in the vicinity of the village of Sterijino and is about 12 kilometers away from Ada. At first glance, this authentic Vojvodina farmhouse "takes" visitors back in time, allowing them to dine and sleep on hay bales and by a campfire, drive a horse-drawn carriage, try their hand at old crafts such as pottery, weaving baskets from reeds, or canvas painting, and engage in traditional games such as horseshoe throwing, sack racing, and tug of war. An ideal destination for a day trip in northern Vojvodina, Kos Salas also allows for organizing celebrations and events in this traditional setting.

Budzak Reservoir

It was created by building an earthen dam in the shallow valley of the Budzak River, a remnant of the once much larger river course, which today, however, has no significant hydrographic importance. By damming this watercourse, as is usually the case, an artificial lake was created, also known as Adanska Bara. Its existence primarily serves agriculture and drainage of arable land during the high groundwater season, but with its surface area of about 112 hectares, a length of about 33 kilometers, a depth of almost 4 meters, and its abundance of fish, this marsh represents a very beautiful ambient unit and a true paradise for carp, catfish, pike, and bream anglers.

Hippodrome

Once one of the most beautiful racecourses in Serbia, Halas Jozef Hippodrome is now, unfortunately, quite neglected. Only once a year, usually in the last week of August, circular races of so-called French trotters (a type of racehorse) are held at this location. Before and after the race, there is usually a festive atmosphere around the hippodrome, greatly contributed to by rotating oxen on the spit, simmering goulash and game stew, and many other traditional delicacies prepared by local gourmets, while numerous tamburica and brass orchestras from Ada, the surrounding area, and even neighboring Hungary create a lively ambiance during and around the race. The tradition of equestrian sports in Ada is long-standing, and many harness racers from Europe have won trophies at the Ada Derby, so there is hope that this significant sports facility, as well as equestrian sports in general, will experience happier days.

Tisa Bridge

By building a bridge between Ada and Padej in 2010, a long-standing dream of the people of Bacva and Banat to bridge the Tisa River in this part of its course was realized, making this bridge an absolute attraction in the following years. Today, it is already part of the greatly facilitated everyday life of the locals, but its economic, cultural, and tourist significance remains outstanding. However, with its construction, one phenomenon that would perhaps be even more of an attraction today was forgotten, and that is the famous ferry that for centuries represented the only connection between the inhabitants of the left and right banks of the Tisa in this part of Vojvodina. This traditional means of transport, used for the transportation of people, livestock, and various goods since time immemorial, was among the last in Europe where the role of the ferry and ferryman remained in the past century.

Local House

Another attraction that promotes the memory of the former way of life in this part of Vojvodina and, in the form of a kind of local museum, provides visitors with the opportunity to remember or get acquainted for the first time with objects that were once, over a century ago, part of the everyday life of the peasants and craftsmen from Ada. However, the Local House belongs to closed-type facilities, so it is necessary to make an appointment in advance for a visit, by calling the number 024/853-108.

Religious Buildings

Among the religious buildings in the municipality of Ada, the Orthodox and Catholic churches in Ada and Mol stand out. In architectural terms, a curiosity among them is the Church of the Ascension of Christ, an Orthodox church built in the Byzantine-Moravian style, which is otherwise very unusual for Orthodox churches in Vojvodina, which are mostly designed in the spirit of Baroque. The church was built in the 1920s, on the site of an older church that was destroyed in a fire in the mid-19th century. It is said that King Alexander I Karađorđević was the patron of the construction of the church in Ada because it represents a faithful copy of the Church of St. George in Oplenac. Among the other religious buildings, the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Ada, and the Catholic Church of St. George and Orthodox Church of St. Sava in Mol stand out.

Camp

In Ada, as well as in neighboring Mol, along the beach and swimming area, in the wooded riverbank, there is a beautifully arranged and well-equipped camp, intended for the stay of tourists, boaters, anglers, and nature lovers. The camp has the capacity to accommodate around 400 campers, it is supplied with electricity, water, toilets, and also has sanitary and security services. For lovers of river navigation and adventurers, this is perhaps the most well-maintained camp along the stretch of the Tisa River in Serbia.
