We started our work as the AQUALAB Institute, which was founded in 2003 by the decision of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, as the first private health institution that received permission to perform genetic analyses. Over the years, we have grown into a large system of AQUALAB Plus laboratories, and at the beginning of 2012 we came under the umbrella of the Synlab GmbH & Co. group. KG , founded in 1998 in Germany. The Synlab group, which has 6,800 employees, with around 300 million analyzes per year and a turnover of around 600 million euros, recognized the quality of this healthcare institution, and today it gathers 300 leading medical laboratories in over 20 countries of the European Union, and is expanding outside of it, in Turkey, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
AQUALAB Plus laboratories provide you with more than 4,000 different laboratory analyzes in the fields of biochemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunochemistry, microbiology, virology, allergy testing, molecular biology and genetics, pathohistology with the possibility of constant consultation with our expert team, which numbers almost 100 employees, including: 15 medical biochemists, 3 doctors-specialists in microbiology, 3 molecular biologists, 1 histopathologist, doctor of science in the field of human genetics, as well as over 60 experienced laboratory technicians .
All other, even the most sophisticated tests, are done in the collaborating Synlab laboratory in Germany. Synlab's management, which operates in over 30 countries, ensures that all analyzes are performed under a rigorous internal quality control (IQC) and external control scheme. All laboratories are accredited in accordance with the relevant national standard, including ISO 17025 and ISO 15189 .
All laboratory analyzes in this health facility are performed using recommended methods, and according to the requirements of good laboratory practice, on top devices from manufacturers such as ROCHE, SIEMENS, ZEISS, HORIBA, etc. Every day, the work of the laboratory is improved, new technologies and analyzes are introduced. All employees are members of the respective health chambers and are regularly educated by attending professional meetings and lectures, and follow the latest professional literature.
