Retro Video Games Museum | Museums of Serbia

Retro Video Game Museum is located in the center of Belgrade, at Simina 7 in Dorćol, and preserves the memory of legendary video games that laid the foundation for the modern gaming industry.

It is dedicated to perhaps the greatest source of entertainment for the middle generation of today's youth - consoles and video games that provided countless hours of fun to the generations of the 80s and 90s.

From arcade video games and the first consoles of the 80s, such as Commodore 64, Spectrum, or Tetris, to Nintendo, Sega, and PlayStation of the 90s, thousands of games brought joy to kids around the world, including the former Yugoslavia.

With the advancement of technology, these games have inspired the development of modern video games to such an extent that today we hardly talk about games but rather about completely realistic simulations of various scenarios - sports games, adventures, strategies, or shooters.

However, these early video games still hold a special place in the hearts of older gamers. Therefore, similar to many others around the world, the Belgrade Retro Video Game Museum was created with the aim of preserving them from oblivion.

The museum showcases different epochs in the history of the gaming industry's development and allows visitors to reminisce or discover classics such as "Tetris," "Pac-Man," "Space Invaders," "Super Mario," "Sonic," pinball machines, and many more.

This unique gamer's time machine can be equally intriguing to younger generations who don't have the opportunity to encounter pixelated graphics, chiptune soundtracks, and the simple gameplay mechanics that characterized old-school games. For older generations, this will likely evoke a sense of nostalgia, making the museum an excellent opportunity for group or family visits and a clash of generations in the realm of video games.

Retro Video Game Museum is designed to accommodate children's birthday celebrations and team building events with prior reservations.

The museum is open every day from 1 PM to 7 PM, except on Mondays. Ticket prices range from 500 RSD for children under 12 years old to 700 RSD for adults.
